Anil Kapoor starrer Pukar completes 25 years
Boney Kapoor recently celebrated 25 years of the iconic Bollywood film Pukar which was released in 2000. The film starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles. Marking the milestone, he shared a nostalgic old poster of the film and also called it ‘Gem’. Fans also quickly reacted and expressed their excitement.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Boney Kapoor shared the poster and wrote, “25 yrs of this gem, winner of 2 national awards.Best Actor Anil Kapoor, Best film, missed out on Best Music & Best female Actor!!!!” One of the fans wrote, “What a film!! Great performances and fabulous music.” Another wrote, “What about the rerelease? Itni faltu films rerelease horai h ye toh gem h this should be rereleased for sure.”

Boney Kapoor once revealed that lead actress Madhuri Dixit took nine days to rehearse for the popular track Kay Sera Sera and called her “magnificent”. He said, “I want to share something about this; Madhuri ji and Prabhu danced to this song in the movie. Madhuri took nine days to rehearse this song, and then she performed. She was magnificent, fantastic.”
He proceeded to compliment the contestant and her choreographer and said that they created magic on the stage, which he could have never imagined. He even called it “flawless” and added that not a single beat was wrong and every moment was clean. He believes that being flawless in a song like this is impossible and the choreography was perfect.
Boney Kapoor was last seen on the silver screen in the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor movie titled Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He recently produced Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu which was released in January 2023.
