David Harbour and Lily Allen have called it quits.
Hollywood actor David Harbour, best known for playing Jim Hopper in The Stranger Things, and British pop sensation Lily Allen have announced their separation after four years of marriage. The couple, who captured hearts with their stylish red-carpet appearances, have reportedly decided to part ways amicably. According to People, their marriage had been ‘crumbling’.
According to the publication’s sources, the duo has decided to separate. Despite their seemingly picture-perfect relationship, sources close to the couple revealed that Harbour and Allen have been navigating challenges in recent months. While neither party has publicly commented on the reason for their split, insiders suggest that conflicting work schedules and the demands of their respective careers may have played a role.
David, 49, and Allen, 39, tied the knot in 2020 in Las Vegas after meeting on a celebrity dating app. Throughout their marriage, the duo often shared glimpses of their life together on social media, delighting fans with playful posts and affectionate shoutouts.
David and Lily decided to make their relationship public by making their first red-carpet appearance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2020.
Lily Allen was previously married to Sam Cooper (2011-2018) with whom she has two daughters, Ethel and Marnie. Harbour had even embraced his role as a stepfather to Allen’s two daughters and was co-parenting them. He had earlier spoken to People about his life as a step-father saying, “I’m in a relationship with three women who all have very different opinions of me at various times.”
David added, “Making that kind of commitment, which I haven’t for most of my life, was a huge thing for me. And it just makes you feel a little bit more like a man, to be honest. I just feel a little bit more like an adult.”
On the work front, David has Thunderbolts up next in his kitty. He will also be seen in the highly-awaited Stranger Things 5.
