The release of Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, has been postponed to August 2025 from its original April 10 release date.
The much-anticipated courtroom comedy-drama Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, was originally set to hit theaters on April 10, 2025. However, recent reports suggest that the film’s release has now been pushed to August 2025, and the decision reportedly came at the request of filmmaker Karan Johar.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Akshay Kumar agreed to postpone Jolly LLB 3 to make way for Kesari Chapter 2, another film backed by Dharma Productions that also stars Akshay Kumar. The source revealed, “Karan Johar is planning to bring another franchise film, Kesari 2, on April 18, 2025. He requested Akshay if he could reschedule the date of Jolly LLB 3, and the Khiladi was more than gracious to do the same.”
Meanwhile, the report also stated that Kesari Chapter 2, featuring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan, will be taking the release slot originally planned for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, a romantic comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. The latter film will now release in the second half of 2025. Kesari Chapter 2 is a historical drama based on the life of C. Sankaran Nair.
On the other hand, Jolly LLB 3 continues to build anticipation among fans. As per an earlier report by Pinkvilla, the film will follow the battle between two Jollys—Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi—while Saurabh Shukla reprises his role as the judge. The legal satire will focus on a relevant and complex case, making it even bigger than its predecessors. Most of the film’s shooting is planned for Mumbai and Rajasthan at real locations.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla. While fans may have to wait a little longer, the excitement around Jolly LLB 3 remains strong, as the film promises to deliver yet another entertaining take on India’s judiciary system.
