Move over love stories, it’s Badass Ravi Kumar time! Himesh Reshammiya’s action-packed masala entertainer has stormed the box office, raking in Rs 2.75 crore on its opening day. This chartbuster start makes it Himesh’s biggest opener yet!
As per Sacnilk, Badass Ravi Kumar registered a 17.28% overall Hindi occupancy on its opening day (February 7). It earned approximately Rs 2.75 crore in India. With Himesh Reshammiya’s die-hard fans rallying behind the film and spreading positive buzz, there’s hope that the movie will see a surge in footfalls over the weekend.
Himesh Reshammiya, who first stepped into acting with Aap Ka Surroor in 2007, had made a memorable debut by earning Rs 1.79 crore on its opening day. However, his 2020 venture Happy Hardy and Heer didn’t strike the right chord, pulling in just Rs 15 lakh on its first day and wrapping up at Rs 71 lakh. Fast forward to 2025, Badass Ravi Kumar has delivered a much more promising start, giving Himesh’s acting career a much-needed high note.
Back in 2014, Himesh Reshammiya’s The Xposé hit the screens with an opening day collection of Rs 1.89 crore, according to Box Office India. Fast forward to Badass Ravi Kumar, which has now set a new personal record for Himesh, emerging as his highest opener to date.
Despite facing competition from Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, which opened with Rs 1.33 crore, Badass Ravi Kumar has surged ahead. The film is expected to reign supreme in single-screen theaters, where Himesh Reshammiya enjoys a cult-like following.
Badass Ravi Kumar was reportedly made on a massive budget of Rs 21 crore. Here’s the kicker — the makers have already recovered this amount through music rights and subsidies.
