Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were spotted together for the first time since Lively’s lawsuit against It Ends With Us actor-director Justin Baldoni. The couple posed for a cheerful selfie with Lively’s Simple Favor 2 co-star, Italian actor Michele Morrone, sparking excitement among fans.
Morrone shared the selfie on his social media, wrapping his arms around the power couple and captioning it, “Missed you guys! Love you!!” He also tagged Lively and Reynolds in the post. Lively and Morrone recently completed filming Simple Favor 2, which is a sequel to the 2018 hit film. The production wrapped in 2024, but rumors swirled that the movie had been shelved amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Baldoni.
Addressing these rumours, director Paul Feige took to X (formerly Twitter) to assure fans that the sequel is on track. “The movie is awesome, and Blake and Anna turn in amazing performances,” he wrote. “I can’t wait for you all to see it. It’s coming to theaters this spring!” Feige dismissed speculation about the film’s delay, calling it “total BS.”
In Simple Favor 2, Lively reprises her role as Emily Nelson, alongside Anna Kendrick’s Stephanie Smothers. Morrone and Henry Golding join the cast, promising a thrilling sequel to the darkly comedic mystery.
Meanwhile, Blake Lively has been making headlines for her legal battle against Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment during the making of her recent film. Morrone publicly voiced his support for Lively, sharing a heartfelt video where he said, “I felt something was wrong, and I felt the pain.” He also urged fans to refrain from judging the actress without understanding the situation, adding, “I’m tired of seeing cruel comments about her.”
