Things took a playful turn when the group found themselves at a pool table, laughing and whispering among themselves. But then came a moment that had viewers doing a double take. According to some fans, subtitles of the dating show showed Jun Seo telling You Jin, or possibly both of them, to “shut it.”
The reaction was swift, with internet users calling him out for what they saw as rude behaviour. “I swear when I catch you Junseo. If he thinks he is to tell Youjin to shut up,” one fan fumed.
“I’m glad Youjin didn’t shut up and continued playing around when Junseo told her to shut it. God, that man gives me all the eekksss,” another wrote.
“Am I dreaming, or did this Junseo just tell Youjin to shut up during the pool game?” a user commented in disbelief.
Over on Reddit, the frustration continued. “That was so rude of him. Honestly, he is lucky that Youjin is sweet and demure and not me or another Latina on that date. Telling a woman to shut up or be quiet would have had the complete OPPOSITE effect,” read one fiery post.

While some Netflix versions translated his words as “Could you keep it down a bit,” the Korean phrase actually meant something closer to “Could you be a bit quiet?” reports Koreaboo.
This revelation sparked debate. While some still found Jun Seo’s tone inappropriate, especially given his past behaviour, others argued that it wasn’t as dramatic as it first seemed. After all, wasn’t this just a lighthearted date?
