Popular K-pop artist and 2PM rapper Ok Taecyeon has been in a longtime relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend, with whom he is often spotted going on dates. After years together, the couple seems ready to take the next step in their relationship: marriage. A couple of pictures showing Taecyeon apparently proposing to his girlfriend recently surfaced online, leaving fans shocked and equally curious. While the artist or his agency is yet to confirm the news, congratulations have already been pouring in on the internet.
The speculations started after a set of ‘now-deleted’ pictures was shared on an Instagram handle titled @thebestphotoparis. The pictures show Taecyeon going all the romantic way on his knees to pop the question in the City of Love, aka Paris. One can also spot the magnificent Eiffel Tower in the background while the couple looked ecstatic.

While the pictures were deleted from the handle, it was not before fans could get their hands on them. Many reshared them across social media handles. The actor-singer’s fans were left divided, with one group congratulating the couple while another expressed frustration over disrespecting his privacy. One wrote, “Hello, can you delete the photos? The original post has been deleted too because they posted without permission. Mine has also been deleted. Thanks.”
Another added, “It’s good that you’re happy for him, but with that, you should also respect his wishes and protect the privacy of his family and friends. Please, take this photo down.” An excited fan commented, “Congrats to both of them. I’m really happy for him! The best oppa! May the two of you be blessed always.”
Earlier in 2020, the Vincenzo actor confirmed dating his non-celebrity girlfriend, taking to Instagram to clear the rumours about his relationship. In the most recent, Taecyeon was also seen enjoying a casual date with his girlfriend. In December last year, he was seen taking a stroll through the streets of Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, in the evening, locking his arms with his girlfriend, which did not go unnoticed.
Who Is Taecyeon?
Besides being a prominent member of the popular K-pop boy band 2PM since 2008, Taecyeon is also a fan-favourite actor with several shows and movies to his credit. While some of his shows include Who Are You? Bring It On, Ghost, and Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, his performance as the lead antagonist in Vincenzo received much praise from fans.
Taecyeon will be next seen in the historical romance drama titled The Fight Night With The Duke opposite Seohyun.
