A video of an English Mastiff disguised as a lion has left social media users both stunned and amused. The massive dog standing on the bonnet of a moving open-top jeep initially created confusion among bystanders in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. At first glance, it truly resembled a lion which made people momentarily believe that a wild animal was freely roaming on the streets. However, the ‘lion’ was nothing more than a well-disguised pet, drawing both shock and excitement from those who witnessed the unusual sight.
The clip, originally shared on Instagram by Ishak Madeena Vali Sinka, captured the majestic-looking dog standing in the front of the jeep while its owner holds onto its leash from the driver’s seat. The dog appears completely at ease as the vehicle moves through the busy streets. Its sheer size with the realistic disguise made it almost impossible to tell at first that it was, in fact, just a dog.
As the jeep moved through the city, people on the streets and other drivers were shocked with many stopping to get a closer look. Some were left shocked thinking how such a dangerous predator can roam the streets like that. But once they found out the truth, their fear turned into excitement. People quickly took out their phones to record and share the surprising moment.
The caption shared along with the post mentioned that the ‘lion’ in question is actually a 20-month-old English Mastiff named Sultan.

Another humorously wrote, “In 2025, this is my biggest disappointment ever” while someone joked, “Lion ordered from Meesho.”
Meanwhile, a person questioned, “Why are you playing with the lives of dogs? It is not safe to drive while it is standing on the vehicle.”
Another added, “Poor animal. What are you doing?”
“It’s not good. For you, it’s a stunt but for them, it’s not good. Please understand their feeling too,” an individual pointed out.
