The first look of Prabhas as Rudra in Vishnu Manchu starrer Kannappa has now been unveiled! Earlier, makers had revealed a striking poster featuring Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva.

Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming Telugu mythological drama film Kannappa is one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year. While the makers unveiled Akshay Kumar’s first look from the film a few days ago, they have now dropped the poster featuring Rebel Star Prabhas, offering a tantalizing glimpse into one of Indian cinema’s most anticipated projects. While the character Prabhas essays remains shrouded in mystery, we now know his name- Rudra.
Prabhas took to his Instagram account to share the first look poster of his character ‘Rudra’ in Kannappa. The poster features him in the guise of a hermit, his matted hair flowing wildly, his forehead smeared with sacred chandan, gripping a crescent moon staff that hints at divine power and celestial energy. Set to be seen in a prominent role, Prabhas commands reverence with his intense rugged look, evoking awe and mystique. The text on the poster reads, “He is the raging storm! The guide through times past and future. He is ruled by Lord Shiva’s command!”
Sharing the poster, Prabhas wrote, “The Divine Guardian ‘Rudra’. Unveiling my look as ‘Rudra’ . The embodiment of strength and wisdom as the unwavering protector in #Kannappa . A timeless journey of devotion, sacrifice, and love. Join us on this epic adventure, coming to theaters on April 25, 2025! #HarHarMahadev.” The poster left Prabhas’ fans awestruck. “Rebel GOD,” read one comment, while another one read, “Baap of box office.” “The king of indian cinema,” wrote a third fan.
This grand retelling of Kannappa delves deep into our history, bringing to life the extraordinary journey of Kannappa Nayanar, a revered Shaivite saint known for his unyielding devotion to Lord Shiva. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Mohan Babu, Kannappa is set to be a cinematic marvel, blending traditional storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create an awe-inspiring visual spectacle.
