Elvish Yadav and Rajat Dalal recently came under fire for allegedly making racist comments about Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang on their podcast. And now, Chum’s co-contestant from the controversial reality show hosted by Salman Khan and rumoured boyfriend Karan Veer Mehra has now stepped into the spotlight with his own take on the whole mess.
At a recent event, Karan told the media that Elvish is actually a ‘nice guy’ and that his comments must have been ‘misconstrued’. However, he cheekily added that Elvish should remember not to fly too high and stay grounded.
“Kuch na kuch log bolte rehte hain, unka ghar chal raha hai, chalne do. Usko samajhna chahiye ki media ne hi banaya hai sab, zyada udna nahi chahiye hawa mein. Zameen pe zyada maza aata, thora young ladhka hai, I am sure seekh jayega thoda dhakke lagenge to. He is not a bad guy. Uska shayad tone waisa hai, lahza waisa hai, isliye shayad aisa samjha ja raha hai. Par ladhka accha hai yaar, mazedaar hai, bahut maza aaya uske saath kaam karke, I am sure misconstrued ho raha hai kahin pe.
Sorry bhi bola hai, maine videos dekhe hai kuch. Woh bol raha hai ki uska matlab nahi tha. kabhi-kabhi chhod do.”
Meanwhile, Karan was also spotted partying at Shilpa Shirodkar’s place with her family. On Instagram, he shared clips of himself busting moves to Gore Gore from Main Hoon Na with his good friend Shilpa, striking poses and just having a blast. Even though Chum couldn’t make it to the party, she was clearly on their minds. In one video, Karan blows a flying kiss to Chum and says he misses her, and in another photo, there’s even a screenshot of Chum on a video call with both Karan and Shilpa.
