Kaveri Kapur, daughter of Shekhar Kapur and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, is making her acting debut alongside Vardhan Puri in Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story.
Kaveri Kapur and Vardhan Puri’s upcoming film Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on February 11, 2025.
Kaveri Kapur, daughter of acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actor-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, is set to step into the world of acting with the upcoming romantic comedy Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. Paired opposite Vardhan Puri, grandson of legendary actor Amrish Puri, Kaveri’s debut film promises to be a refreshing take on love and relationships. Directed by Kunal Kohli, known for hits like Hum Tum and Fanaa, the film is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on February 11, 2025.
Ahead of the film’s OTT release, Kaveri and Vardhan were spotted together in Mumbai, exiting a movie theatre after catching a film. In a video shared by a paparazzo account, the duo appeared cheerful, flashing wide smiles. Vardhan was seen holding Kaveri’s hand as he assisted her down the stairs, engaging in casual conversation before walking her to the car. He then waved at the paparazzi before leaving, further fueling excitement about their on-screen chemistry.
Adding to the anticipation, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi took to Instagram to unveil the first look poster of Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. The poster features Kaveri, dressed in a blue top and red jacket, leaning on Vardhan’s shoulder as they sit under a tree. Vardhan sports a casual grey T-shirt with a striped white shirt layered over it. Sharing the heartfelt moment, Suchitra captioned the post, “OMG my baby girl @kaverikapur . So so soooo proud of u. @disneyplushotstar Some love stories are meant to be… no matter the time, no matter the distance. #BobbyAurRishiKiLoveStory – streaming from 11th Feb.”
Kaveri responded to her mother’s emotional post with red heart emojis, reflecting her excitement and gratitude.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Kapur, who was recently honored with the Padma Bhushan, also chaired the 2024 International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The celebrated filmmaker is currently working on a sequel to his 1983 cult classic Masoom. As for Suchitra, she was last seen in the Prime Video legal drama Guilty Minds in 2022.
With Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story gearing up for its release, fans eagerly await Kaveri Kapur’s acting debut and her on-screen chemistry with Vardhan Puri in this much-anticipated romantic tale.
