Kolkata Police arrested Wadul Mandal 55 hours after finding Hazrat Laskar’s headless body, identified by a tattoo. Both men were from Angulkata. A love triangle is suspected

The Kolkata Police has arrested a man named Wadul Mandal, 55 hours after the headless body of Hazrat Laskar (30) a resident of the Angulkata area under Gaighata police station jurisdiction, was discovered.
On Wednesday afternoon, officers from the Barasat police station arrested Mandal from the Barasat station premises. Sources indicate that both the deceased and the accused in the murder case are residents of the Angulkata area under the jurisdiction of the Gaighata police station and are distantly related.
However, the individuals involved are residents of Laxmikantpur in South 24 Parganas. They were previously residing in a rented house in the Angulkata area. Law enforcement authorities are currently interrogating the suspect and conducting a search for the missing head.
According to police sources, the body, after recovery, was taken to the Barasat Government Medical College and Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Numerous individuals arrived to identify the deceased, and a family from Gaighata ultimately identified the body by a tattoo on the hand.
Subsequently, following discussions with the family, the police arrested Mandal. However, the police are currently withholding further information to avoid compromising the ongoing investigation.
Last Monday morning, the headless body was discovered in farmland in the Maliakur area, under the jurisdiction of the Dattapukur police station. Since the grim discovery, officers from the Barasat police district have been working tirelessly to locate the missing head and identify the deceased man.
The deceased was finally identified through a tattoo on his body. Initial police investigations revealed that Pooja Das had been in a previous relationship with a man named Kalini.
Police discovered that Hazrat had continued a relationship with Pooja after her marriage, leading to suspicions of a love triangle as the motive for the murder.
