Is Travis Kelce gearing up for a surprise proposal to Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl halftime? The 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star remained tight-lipped when asked about popping the question during the big game at the Super Bowl’s opening night event in New Orleans on Monday, February 3.
When a reporter directly questioned whether he planned to propose to the pop sensation, Kelce smiled mischievously and said, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
Swift, 35, has been a familiar presence at Kelce’s games since they started dating in 2023. Most recently, she was spotted cheering him on during the Chiefs’ win against the Buffalo Bills on January 26 in Kansas City, Missouri.
During the press conference, Kelce fielded several questions about Swift, including one about her cooking skills. “Oh, she’s quite the cook,” he said, adding with a grin, “I’m a breakfast guy, man. Her homemade Pop Tarts are unbelievable.”
He also praised Swift for her relentless work ethic, saying, “I better hold up my end of the bargain. She’s up there being the superstar that she is, never taking no for an answer, always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure.”
Kelce’s playful proposal response comes just days before the Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in a much-anticipated Super Bowl rematch on Sunday, February 9.
While it’s unclear whether Swift will attend the game, many believe it’s likely given that she wrapped up her record-breaking Eras Tour in December 2024, giving her more free time.
The pop superstar has a history of showing public support for Kelce, including attending the Chiefs’ victorious Super Bowl game in February 2024. She joined Kelce on the field, embracing and kissing him after the team’s win against the San Francisco 49ers.
More recently, after the Chiefs’ January 26 win against the Bills, Swift reunited with Kelce on the field, where the couple appeared to exchange “I love yous.”
Ahead of the 2025 Grammy Awards on February 2, Swift liked an Instagram post of Kelce stepping off a plane in New Orleans wearing a bold yellow tracksuit. At the ceremony, she sported a glittering thigh chain featuring the initial “T,” which fans believe was a nod to Kelce.
