The Mehta Boys, featuring Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwary, had its grand premiere on February 5 in Mumbai. The event became a star-studded affair as several big B-town celebrities came to support the cast. Among others, Vicky Kaushal made a stylish appearance at the special screening in an all-black look. Several inside pictures and videos from the event have surfaced online. In one of the clips, Vicky was seen sharing a warm hug with actor Avinash Tiwary at the premiere.
As the clip moves ahead, we see the duo greeting each other and holding hands. The video reflected the respect and love the two powerhouses hold for each other. The Laila Majnu actor looked dapper in a dark blue formal suit. He opted for a heavy beard and short hair for the occasion.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal, other celebs who arrived at the premiere include Ram Kapoor, Avinash Mishra, Eisha Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia, Juhi Chawla, Orry, Sajid Khan, Ishaan Khatter, Siddharth Nigam and Dia Mirza among others.
Talking about The Mehta Boys, the film marks the directorial debut of Boman Irani. The family drama focuses on the complex relationship between an ageing father and his son. The trailer promises a poignant watch delving into the intricacies of human relationships. Backed by Danesh Irani, Vikesh Bhutani and Shujaat Saudagar, the film also features Shreya Chaudhry and Puja Sarup in significant roles. It will be streaming on Prime Video from February 7.
Speaking about the film, Boman Irani said in a statement, “For me, The Mehta Boys is very personal. The father-son relationship is one of the most complex and emotionally intense relations. With this film, I wanted to explore how time, misunderstandings, and unresolved difficulties may challenge the bond of two people who care profoundly for each other. It’s a story that’s been with me for years, and I’m excited to finally share it with audiences in India and around the world on Prime Video.”
Talking about Vicky Kaushal, the actor is currently busy with promotions for his upcoming period action film Chhaava. The actor is portraying Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles. It will be released on the big screens on February 14.
