Vignesh Shivan praised Vidaamuyarchi director, Magizh Thirumeni for bringing intense yet emotional story to life and couldn’t stop admiring Ajith Kumar’s powerful presence.
Vidaamuyarchi, featuring Ajith Kumar, has finally hit theatres and the movie has been receiving positive reviews not just from viewers, but also from the film fraternity. Among them was Vignesh Shivan, who praised director Magizh Thirumeni for bringing an intense yet emotional story to life. The filmmaker couldn’t stop admiring Ajith’s powerful presence and shared that the actor carried the entire film smoothly. He also appreciated the action scenes, by calling them both thrilling and realistic. Vignesh added that Ajith’s action scenes and emotional moments were so impressive that audiences couldn’t help but cheer for the superstar throughout the film.
Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker wrote, “Vidaamuyarchi is such an intense thriller. Like solving a puzzle, it keeps you hooked from the first to the last frame. AK sir’s screen presence, his suave carries the entire film on his shoulders. From the realistic risky action to the last emotion, he plays the character so honestly. So genuine and yet you can’t stop whistling. Everytime he walks with some scintillating score from the king Anirudh Ravichander.”
“Magizh Thirumeni sir makes the screenplay so tight and the way the shots and consistency has been maintained in a very tough terrain proves the amount of hardwork. Credits to Omprakash sir, Nirav sir for making the film look so good. Truly international standard. Excellent performances from Trisha, Regina, Arjun, Aarav and everyone. Kudos for a grand success Lyca Productions,” Vignesh Shivan added.
Speaking about his collaboration with Ajith Kumar, Magizh Thirumeni in an interview with Cinema Express said, “When Ajith sir met me first, these were the exact words he said, ‘Magizh, let’s make a film that brings us both out of our comfort zones.’ I was also particular that the audiences’ intelligence should not be taken for granted by having illogical scenes in the film. In other industries outside India, logic is mandatory and a film without that would be laughed at. This is why I wanted to keep the hype low for the film so that I don’t send any wrong signals to the audience. Ajith sir was also particular in that regard. I want to make it clear that Vidaamuyarchi is a clean, situation-driven action thriller without any forced masala moments.”
According to Sacnilk, Vidaamuyarchi, starring Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arav and Ramya Subramanian, earned Rs 22 crore on its opening day. The film is expected to perform even better in the coming days and may break several box office records.
