Australia allrounder Glenn Maxwell has named Indian batting star Virat Kohli as the most famous contact on his smartphone.

In a video going viral on social media, several Aussie men’s and women’s cricketers opened up about their most renowned contact numbers.

“Hard to go past Virat (Kohli). Virat is pretty famous. I don’t think anyone’s got more Instagram followers in sport (than him),” Maxwell said in a video shared by ABC Sport.

Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh couldn’t go past their captain Pat Cummins.

Australia women’s cricketers Alyssa Healy and Alana King, whereas, voted for their teammate Ellyse Perry.

Aussie wicketkeeper Alex Carey thinks David Warner and Ricky Ponting were pretty famous. While most Australian stars preferred to stick to cricketers, former skipper Steve Smith took a different route.

The veteran batter named famous Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman.

Aussie pacer Sophie Molineux followed in Smith’s footsteps and picked actress Asher Keddie as the most famous contact on her phone.  Keddie is globally renowned for her roles in Offspring, Five Mile Creek and The Lost Flowers.

Maxwell isn’t the only cricketer to pick Virat Kohli as the most famous contact on his phone.

Last year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), shared a video on their website in which KL Rahul was asked about the most famous person he had on his contact list by a fellow teammate.

Without any hesitation, the Karnataka batter replied – Virat Kohli.

Kohli was supposed to return to white-ball cricket during India’s first ODI against England on February 6 in Nagpur. The 36-year-old batter reportedly had a sore knee on the eve of the series opener leading to Shreyas Iyer’s inclusion.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana made their ODI debuts as India went on to win the contest by four wickets and take 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
