A viral video shows a group of men taking out a rally for a stray dog.
It is common to see people celebrate their pet’s birthday through various gestures such as holding parties, going on a pet-friendly getaway, gifting a pampering session to their dogs or cats, or simply baking a cake. However, the internet has now witnessed yet another unique and unexpected celebration for a stray dog, which included putting up large hoardings on the road. “Humare priye, wafadar, khoonkar Ludo Bhai ko janamdin ki lakh lakh badhaiyaan,” the message on the hoardings read.
A video is going viral on social media that shows a group of young men taking a stray dog out for a ride in an open jeep while celebrating its birthday with a cake and crackers. They also showered the dog with flowers and made him wear a flower garland. The video concludes with a special message, calling out everyone to save dogs and other innocent animals. As per reports, the viral video was shot in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas city.
Reacting to the video, a user wrote, “You have made my heart happy, brother. Our street dogs are not less than anyone; this is a slap on the face of breed lovers,” while another added, “He deserves that.”
“Adopt, don’t shop—a very good message for Indians,” a comment read. “This video made my day! I literally have no words. Salute to these guys from the depth of my heart,” one remarked.
Another section of users was left perplexed by the celebrations as one quipped, “These individuals need employment.” Another added, “Such a rally for a dog’s birthday? Now I am just waiting for a cat’s engagement.”
Earlier in 2018, residents of Mumbai’s Kalyan had put up a hoarding, extending birthday wishes to a dog. Addressed to ‘Max Bhai,’ the hoarding included birthday wishes from other neighbourhood dogs including the names of “Tyson Bhai, Danger Bhai, Sam Bhai, Prince Bhai, and Sweety Tai.” Needless to say, the hoarding attracted a lot of attention and became a hit on social media.
