The video of the return of 104 illegal Indian immigrants back to their country was shared by USBP on X
United States Customs and Border Protection Chief Michael W. Banks on Thursday shared a video of the deportation of 104 Indians who had entered the foreign country illegally.
The 104 illegal migrants from different states were brought in a US military aircraft on Wednesday. This was the first batch of illegal Indian immigrants who had been deported after a crackdown by the Donald Trump-led government.
Among the immigrants, 33 each hailed from Gujarat and Haryana, 30 were from Punjab, three each belonged to Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra and two were from Chandigarh. Among the 104 deportees, 19 were women and 13 were minors.
The deportees who were from Punjab were sent to their native places from the Amritsar airport in police vehicles.
Sharing the video of the deportation, USBP Chief Banks wrote, “USBP and partners successfully returned illegal aliens to India, marking the farthest deportation flight yet using military transport. This mission underscores our commitment to enforcing immigration laws and ensuring swift removals. If you cross illegally, you will be removed.”
In the video, the deportees were seen boarding the C-17 Globemaster aircraft which belonged to the US Air Force.

The action against the illegal immigrants has been taken just days before the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Washington DC where he will hold wide-ranging talks with President Donald Trump.
Inside the airport terminal building, various government agencies like the Punjab Police and the state and central intelligence agencies questioned the deportees and checked if they had any criminal records.
Trump had been vocal about his anti-immigrant plans during his presidential campaign and had reiterated that the country would send back all illegal immigrants after he came to power in January 2025.
“All illegal entry will be immediately halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of illegal aliens back to the places from which they came,” said Trump, in his inauguration speech.
