Looks like Rakhi Sawant is all set to marry for the third time. In a recent interview, the entertainment queen talked about getting marriage proposals from Pakistan and mentioned that she might select one when the time is right.

“I have been getting many proposals. When I visited Pakistan, they saw how I was harassed in my previous marriages. I will definitely select one prospect,” Rakhi Sawant told Times of India TV and mentioned that such unions promote peace between both countries.

Rakhi further added, “Indians and Pakistanis can’t do without each other. I love Pakistani people, and I have many fans there.” She also shared details about her potential suitor, Dodi Khan, revealing that he is an actor and a police officer. “Shaadi Pakistan me hogi with Islamic rituals. Reception will be in India, and we’ll go to Switzerland or the Netherlands for our honeymoon. We will settle in Dubai,” Rakhi said.

However, the two parted ways in 2023 after the Bigg Boss fame levelled several allegations against him and accused him of being involved in extramarital affairs. Adil was then picked up from Rakhi’s residence and arrested on February 7, 2023. He was released after spending five months in jail.

Prior to Adil, Rakhi was also married to Ritesh Raj Singh. The two participated in Bigg Boss 15 but parted ways soon after the show ended in February 2022.

Announcing their separation, Rakhi had said at the time, “Dear fans and well-wishers, just wanted to say that Ritesh and I have decided to part ways. After the Bigg Boss show a lot happened and I was unaware of certain things which were out of my control. We have tried to work out our differences and tried to make things work but I think it’s best we both move on amicably and we both enjoy our lives separately.”

As the king realised the astronomical quantity of rice required, Lord Krishna revealed his divine form and proposed a simpler solution—preparing a sweet rice pudding daily as an offering. This tradition has continued through the ages, with the creamy paal payasam serving as the sacred prasadam to this day.

Sacred Preparation and Rituals

The making of Ambalapuzha Paal Payasam is a sacred and careful process that begins early at 4 AM and culminates during the uchapooja, the midday prayers. The sweet delicacy is crafted from red rice, milk and sugar, using water from the temple’s holy well. During its preparation, priests chant “Gopala… Gopala” while carrying the offering to the altar. The temple also hosts several grand festivals, such as the Champakulam Moolam water festival in Mithunam month and a 10-day celebration in Meenam (March-April). Additionally, the Kalabham festival, held in January-February, spans 12 days, bringing thousands of devotees to experience the temple’s spiritual atmosphere and rich cultural traditions.

Protecting Tradition and Authenticity

Over the years, Ambalapuzha Paal Payasam has faced the challenge of counterfeit versions sold by unauthorized vendors. To ensure devotees receive the original offering, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has labelled the dessert with the name “Gopala Kashayam” (Krishna’s Potion) alongside “Ambalapuzha Paal Payasam” on the packaging. This initiative helps visitors recognise the authentic treat, ensuring they experience the true taste of divine blessings when visiting the temple. China’s AI chatbot DeepSeek, a rival to leading AI models like ChatGPT, has refused to name the northeastern states of India.

China’s AI chatbot DeepSeek, now the most downloaded free app in the US on Apple’s App Store, has been facing criticism for failing to answer queries about India’s northeastern states. The app, which is developed at a cost of $6 million, dismissed the queries as “beyond its current scope” and suggested “talking about something else”.

DeepSeek’s refusal to answer questions regarding northeast India was initially flagged by an X (formerly known as Twitter) user with the handle “@sxchidxnxnd.”

When the X user gave a prompt to the AI chatbot that read, “Arunachal Pradesh is an Indian State”, it responded with: “Sorry, that’s beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.”

The X user then asked DeepSeek to name India’s Northeastern states, only to receive the same response.

News18.com verified this and found that DeepSeek provided the same reply to both prompts: “Sorry, that’s beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.”

When asked about each of India’s Northeastern states individually, DeepSeek answered all prompts, except for Nagaland, for which it repeated, “Sorry, that’s beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.”

We also tested other chatbots, including Google’s Gemini, X’s Grok, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, all of which successfully answered questions about India’s Northeastern states.

Google announced the safety features for Android users who can protect their data if their device is lost or stolen.

Google has rolled out a significant feature, Identity Check, to enhance security for selected Android devices worldwide. This feature aims to prevent situations where someone could get access to your device by unauthorised knowledge of your passcode, PIN, or password. The new update will verify the identity of the user in such a case. When accessing sensitive accounts or device settings, users will be required to authenticate using biometrics such as fingerprints or face recognition.

Notably, the additional layer of protection will only activate when the device is outside of the designated trusted location. This should prevent unauthorised access, even if the person who stole your phone knows the passcode or PIN.

However, it also comes with some loopholes as it will not be much useful in scenarios when someone in your house has unauthorised access to your phone, given that your home is a ‘trusted location.’

According to Google, as a part of the feature, the users will have the option to add one or more trusted locations. “When you leave these trusted locations, biometric authentication is necessary to access critical account and device settings such as changing your device PIN or biometrics, disabling theft prevention, or accessing Passkeys,” the tech giant wrote in a blog.

The feature is now rolling out to Pixel devices with the latest Android 15 and will be available on One UI 7 eligible Galaxy devices in the coming weeks which includes the new Galaxy S25 models. Moreover, it is likely to be available on supported Android handsets from other manufacturers later this year.

This new Google update comes as a part of broader efforts to protect user data. Last year the tech giant introduced another significant protection feature, the Theft Detection Lock, which uses an on-device AI-powered system to assist in detecting when your phone may be forcibly taken away from you. If the machine learning system identifies a possible theft attempt on your unlocked cellphone, it locks the screen to keep thieves out.

Baba Siddique Murder: Former MLA Zeeshan Siddique told police that one one occasion, a developer had used abusive language against his father.

Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was close to Bollywood, was not killed due to association with actor Salman Khan? His son Zeeshan has urged police to consider issues of slum development projects in Bandra, while naming some builders and politicians.

Former MLA Zeeshan Siddique told police that one one occasion, a developer had used abusive language against his father. His statement is part of the chargesheet filed by police in connection with the killing of the former state minister on October 12, 2024.

Baba Siddique (66) was shot dead by three assailants outside his son’s office in Mumbai’s Bandra East area.

Zeeshan claimed many developers were in constant touch with his father for redevelopment projects.

The former MLA told police he and his father were continuously fighting for the rights of slumdwellers in Mumbai’s Bandra area, adding that a false case was registered against him for his objection towards a redevelopment project.

“There are many developers who were in regular contact with my father. My father had the habit of writing a diary about his daily work. I learnt that around 5.30 pm to 6 pm (on the day of the murder) my dad was contacted on his WhatsApp by Mohit Kambhoj (a BJP worker). Mohit wanted to meet my father with regard to a project in Bandra by Mundra Builders,” Zeeshan said in his statement to the police.

The former MLA in the statement also said, “A builder during a meeting with certain persons regarding the SRA redevelopment project had used abusive words about my father. I request that all the above-mentioned matters be investigated in detail in the investigation of my father’s murder.”

Police have filed a more than 4,500-page chargesheet before a special MCOCA court in connection with the case.

It has been filed against 26 arrested accused, while three persons — Shubham Lonkar, Yasin Akhthar and Anmol Bishnoi — have been shown as wanted accused.

All the accused have been booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and are currently in judicial custody.

What Police Says In Chargesheet

Mumbai police, in the filed chargesheet, said that mastermind of Baba Siddique’s murder, Anmol Bishnoi, motivated men who carried out the assassination with promises of a flat, car and Rs 5 lakh in advance.

According to the chargesheet, Anmol framed the murder as revenge for the death of his associate Anuj Thapan, who allegedly died by suicide in May 2024 while in custody after being arrested for firing at actor Salman Khan’s residence. Police believe Siddique was targeted for his close association with Khan. The gang reportedly intended to spread fear, assert their dominance, and establish an extortion racket in Mumbai.

A Mumbai resident shared that his hotel booking, which had been made months in advance, was unexpectedly cancelled just 24 hours before his scheduled check-in.

The Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad drew massive crowds to the Narendra Modi Stadium for an unforgettable night of music. However, the excitement came with some unexpected hurdles for attendees, including a spike in hotel prices throughout the city. Mumbai resident Prayush Jain took to Threads to share his experience after facing a last-minute hotel booking cancellation. Despite planning his trip months in advance and securing a reservation through the popular travel platform Agoda, Jain was shocked to find out just 24 hours before check-in that his booking had been cancelled.

In his post, Jain explained that he initially booked the accommodation in November, the same day Coldplay tickets went on sale. Agoda showed no signs of cancellation until he personally contacted the hotel to confirm his stay. The hotel informed him that the booking had been cancelled and a refund would be issued.

“We booked the hotel in Ahmedabad via Agoda for Coldplay in November when the tickets came on the same day. On the Agoda until today 24 hours before checking in, it did not show that the booking was cancelled. I called the hotel to confirm the booking, and the hotel said they have cancelled the booking and Agoda will refund the money,” Jain wrote on Threads.

Later, Jain reached out to Agoda but he was left disappointed with their response. While the company assured him of a refund, they provided no further assistance. Jain expressed frustration over the lack of accountability and pointed out that booking a new room would cost him five times the original price.

“We called Agoda to address this issue, and it was hilarious for us to hear their words. They said, we would refund the amount, and we cannot do anything more than that. No accountability nothing. Agoda is this how you do business and that’s how you partner with hotels? It is not about the refund, but you are canceling just 1 day before checking in. The hotel is asking me to pay 5 times the booking price to provide room,” Jain wrote in his post.

In the comment section, many users shared their similar experiences with the platform.

One user commented, “Oh my god the same happened with me while attending a conference in Bangalore. Agoda showed zero responsibility and countless hours later I was left stranded in a new city. I had to pay 3 times the amount to get a room in the hotel nearby. Shit behaviour.”

“Same experience with two hotels in Mumbai (for Coldplay). Agoda and Agoda India absolutely no support or quality control,” another shared.

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour wrapped up its India leg with a spectacular performance in Ahmedabad on January 26. Following their electrifying shows in India, the band—Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion—will now head to Hong Kong, South Korea, the US, and Canada. The tour is set to conclude at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium on September 8.
