Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her big-screen debut in Loveyapa, alongside Junaid Khan. Khushi Kapoor is the youngest child of veteran producer Boney Kapoor and maintains a close bond with her dad. Speaking at a SCREEN event recently, Khushi said that out of all the actors at home, Boney Kapoor is the ‘star of the house’.
Khushi said, “He is the star of the house, in my opinion. He is bigger than all of us. He is the biggest diva, actor—everything, it’s him.” She said, “He played a role in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He didn’t have many scenes in the film. He had to shoot in Delhi, and suddenly, I saw 13 large suitcases being moved from his closet.”
The actress recalled, “I realized he had packed his entire wardrobe for the film. He wore his own clothes on screen. When I visited him on set, he was dressed in the exact outfit he wears at home, with his boy standing next to him. I thought, ‘Is he on a movie set, or is he just chilling at home?’ He is the most relaxed and luxurious person I have ever met.”
In a previous conversation with the portal, Khushi revealed that Boney Kapoor has the last say in her life. “I find it strange to do anything without getting the approval of my dad. I do follow my instinct but the last say will be his. There are times he does not like my opinion but I feel comfortable when we are all on the same page regarding everything,” she said.
Meanwhile, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s film is the remake of the Tamil film Love Today. In addition to Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, the film features a stellar cast including Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, and Kunj Anand. Directed by Advait Chandan and backed by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, Loveyapa is set for a worldwide release by Zee Studios on February 7, 2025. After its theatrical run, the film will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
