A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in the Cherlapally industrial area, situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad, on Tuesday evening, causing widespread chaos.
On receiving information, fire tenders rushed to the scene to douse the blaze, said officials, adding that the police cordoned off the area in the wake of the incident.
The massive flames were visible from a distance of up to two kilometres, said locals.
The visuals of the incident showed staff members at the factory fleeing the site as the fire quickly spread, causing panic.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but authorities have confirmed that there have been no casualties or injuries so far.
As a precautionary measure, residents in nearby areas have been advised to evacuate.
