Khushi Kapoor Does Not Regret Her Debut Film The Archies: ‘Everything Doesn’t Have To Be Made For All’

Previously, in another interview, Khushi Kapoor also admitted that she is “more stressed” about her second film than The Archies because she has done her “best” this time.

Khushi Kapoor’s Loveyapa will hit theatres on February 7.

When Khushi Kapoor made her acting debut in 2023 with The Archies, a large section of the audience was left disappointed. Khushi’s performance in the movie wasn’t appreciated and the film faced criticism for its casting. However, as Khushi is gearing up for the release of her second movie Loveyapa, she does not regret anything about her debut movie.

In a recent interview, Khushi was asked if she wanted to change anything about Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. “Probably… marketing-wise, it had to be made clear that the film is catering to a younger audience. I don’t want to particularly change anything, and even I believe the film was for a really young audience. In fact, the people who enjoyed it the most were the ones who were below the age of 16. Plus, I feel like everything doesn’t have to be made for everyone,” the young actress said as quoted by Indian Express.

“But yeah, I don’t regret the film at all. I learnt everything from the film. I owe everything to Zoya, and I have a deep connection with the film and people around it.” she added.

Previously, in another interview, Khushi Kapoor also admitted that she is “more stressed” about her second film than The Archies because she has done her “best” this time. She mentioned that unlike the Zoya Akhtar directorial, which was an OTT release, Loveyapa will hit theatres and therefore, will have box office pressure.

“During the trailer launch, when we entered the theatre and saw the trailer and some of the songs on the big screen, I was really shaking. I thought it was casual. It’s just the trailer, and I’ve seen it. It’d be fine. But then, seeing it on the big screen, I was like, ‘Oh, sh*t, this is really happening’. There’s more stress because it’s like box office numbers and so many other factors that you have to consider when considering a theatrical release. But I think it’s special. So, I did my bit. I did my best,” Khushi told Hindustan Times.

In Loveyapa, Khushi Kapoor will be seen sharing the screen with Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan. The film will hit theatres on February 7.
