From plushies to water bottles, the brand has built a loyal customer base. But a recent incident involving one of its sipper bottles has raised serious safety concerns.

An Instagram user shared a troubling review, sharing a video that has shocked many people. In the now-viral clip, a woman recounted her alarming experience, saying that she was drinking water from a Miniso sipper when she suddenly felt something sharp in her mouth.

To her shock, it turned out to be broken plastic pieces from inside the bottle. What’s worse, she had already swallowed some of the water before noticing, raising fears that she may have unknowingly ingested sharp plastic fragments.

The video’s caption didn’t hold back, calling out the brand over the potentially dangerous product.

It read: “Shocking & Dangerous! My sister bought a bottle from Miniso and while drinking from it, she suddenly felt something sharp in her mouth, turns out, it was a piece of broken plastic from the inside of the bottle! She had already consumed some water before realising, meaning she unknowingly swallowed sharp plastic pieces. This is extremely dangerous.

What if a larger piece had been ingested? How is Miniso selling such low-quality, hazardous products without proper safety checks? Product safety should never be compromised. Should Miniso be held accountable for selling unsafe products?”

The post quickly gained traction, drawing hundreds of comments from concerned users. Some shared similar experiences, while others expressed their frustration over the brand’s lack of quality control.

One user commented, “Made in China,” implying scepticism about the product’s origin and manufacturing standards. Another sarcastically wrote, “Aur kharido aesthetic (Buy more for the aesthetics),” highlighting how customers often prioritise looks over safety.

Others joined in with their own concerns. One user said, “Happened with me too,” while another, seemingly reconsidering their shopping choices, added, “I was about to get a few products from there!! Now I won’t!!”

So far, Miniso has remained silent on the issue, leaving customers waiting for an official response.
