The smart glasses segment is getting a new player in India this month in the form of Lenskart. The Phonic Smart Glasses are promising you the comfort of a traditional eyewear with smart features and available at a reasonable price. The new smart glass allow users to take calls, listen to music, and interact with voice assistants.

The Lenskart Phonic Smart Glasses is priced at Rs 4,000 and these come in Matte Black and Shiny Blue colours. You can also pick them up in either full-rim wayfarer design or Navigator and Hustlr. The brand lets you modify the glasses with either bifocal/progressive prescription lenses or use it as sunglasses.

The Smart glasses have Bluetooth audio support, which plays through built-in speakers at your temple. It also allows users to make phone calls by connecting to their smartphone. The company claims it allows for multitasking and a connected experience on the go.
The company says the glasses get a playtime of up to seven hours and can be recharged using the special charging cord included in the box. It also comes with Smart Button at the bottom of the temple for easy navigation. It supports voice assistant integration, letting users to send messages, set reminders, or change tracks.
The glasses work with both concave and convex lenses for near and far-sightedness, with powers ranging from -8 D (dioptre) to +6 D. Also, the company claims that it can minimise distractions while driving. Just like other Lenskart glasses, users can choose from a variety of including anti-glare premium, BLU screen lenses and Owndays shatterproof, although the price will vary depending on the lens type.
The segment is clearly getting a lot of traction but most glasses are priced in the premium range. Lenskart is known for its eyewear in the country but one will have to try out the smart glasses to see if they work as advertised.
