Veer Pahariya, who made his Bollywood debut alongside Akshay Kumar in Sky Force, has found himself at the center of online trolling.
Veer Pahariya made a striking entry into Bollywood with his debut alongside Akshay Kumar in Sky Force. However, his journey into the industry has been met with a wave of online trolling, with social media buzzing with memes and comments about his performance. Addressing the backlash, Veer recently spoke to ABP Entertainment LIVE, responding to criticism about his privileged background and the viral memes circulating online.
When asked about people questioning his privileged entry into Bollywood, Veer remained unfazed, stating,
“What can I do? It’s my fortune that I was born into such a family. My dream has always been to become an artist. Should I kill myself and be reborn just to please them?”
Emphasizing his dedication to his craft, he added, “All I can do is work with sincerity and prove that I deserve my place in this industry. Negativity doesn’t bother me. Maybe some people are spreading hate because they haven’t seen the film yet. If I haven’t won hearts this time, I will work harder for my next film and turn this hate into love.”
Veer’s dance move from the song Rang in Sky Force has taken social media by storm, sparking hilarious memes. One particularly viral joke compared his moves to “backbenchers demonstrating Earth’s movement around the sun.”
Taking the humor in stride, Veer explained that the clip in question was from the final shot after three and a half days of continuous rehearsals. He also revealed that he has flat feet, which made balancing on one leg especially painful. By the time they reached that particular take, it was his 12th or 13th attempt, and exhaustion had set in. Despite the physical strain, he never anticipated that the step would go viral.
Sky Force, an action drama based on the 1965 Indo-Pak war’s Sargodha airbase attack, has resonated well with audiences. Starring Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur, the film is helmed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. Within just eight days of its release, it has amassed ₹104 crore at the domestic box office, reaffirming its success.
