In a shocking incident, three teachers allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl inside the washroom of a government school in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu.
The sexual assault is said to have taken place on January 2. It is learnt that the accused teachers took turns to violate the minor girl.
Subsequently, all three accused were arrested.
According to a report in Deccan Herald, the matter came to light on Tuesday evening after the headmaster of the school near Pochampalli in Bargur taluk reached the minor’s house to enquire about her absence from school since January 5.
The Deccan Herald report mentioned that the girl’s parents told the headmaster that their daughter suffered from acute pain in her abdomen that’s why she was not going to school.
Finally, they confided in the headmaster when she forced them to tell the truth as their excuse was not convincible to her.
DH citing sources mentioned that girl told the headmaster that three teachers – identified as Chinnasamy, Arumugam, and Prakash – sexually assaulted her.
“The girl’s parents narrated their child’s harrowing experience following which the headmaster informed the DEO and called the Child Helpline. Accordingly, a case was registered against the three teachers at the Bargur All Women’s Police Station (AWPS),” DH quoting a police officer reported.
The comes six months after the ‘organiser’ of a “fake NCC camp” sexually abused 13 minor girls in the district.
Police have launched an investigation into the case. More details are awaited.
